Vision, Mission, and Goal

Vision: To be a dynamic health sciences library that supports excellence in academic learning, research, innovation, and community engagement. Mission: To support NHTC by providing accessible, reliable, and up-to-date health information resources and services that assist in developing qualified, competent, and disciplined health professionals. Goal: To support teaching, learning, and research by providing relevant health sciences information resources and promoting information literacy skills among students, lecturers, and researchers. Slogan: Empowering Health Education Through Information.

Key Services

Reference Services — Expert assistance locating and using information resources effectively. Information Literacy Training — Programmes teaching search, evaluation, and use of information for academic work. Circulation Services — Students may borrow 2 books for 14 days. Computer Access — Computers for scholarly use, limited to 3 hours per session. User Orientation — Guided orientation and ongoing assistance for new and returning users. Study Facilities — Conducive spaces for individual and group study.

Monday: 09:00 – 18:00 Tuesday: 09:00 – 22:00 Wednesday: 09:00 – 22:00 Thursday: 09:00 – 18:00 Friday: 09:00 – 18:00 Hours may vary on public holidays.

Rules and Regulations

Borrowing: Students may borrow 2 books for 14 days. Produce a valid student card. Late fine: M1.00 per day per item (weekends excluded). Conduct: Bags not allowed inside. Mobile phones on silent. No food or drink. No smoking. Maintain quiet study atmosphere.
